Letshego Africa Holdings Limited (“LAHL”; “Letshego Africa”; “Company”; “Group”) was incorporated in 1998, is headquartered in Gaborone, and has been publicly listed on the Botswana Stock Exchange (BSE) since 2002. Letshego Africa is a pan-African financial institution offering microfinance and consumer lending solutions across eleven subsidiaries in sub-Saharan Africa.
The Board of Directors of the Company is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Rubin Japhta as an Independent Non-Executive Director, effective 6th May 2026.
Mr Rubin Japhta is a seasoned business professional with over 30 years’ experience in the financial services sector. He worked more than 20 years for the International Finance Corporation of the World Bank Group where his focus was on conducting due diligence and providing advice to banks and Non-Bank Financial Institutions across sub-Saharan Africa and East Asia Pacific. Prior to that he served as Head of Operations of a wholesale financial institution providing loans to Non-Bank Financial Institutions.
Mr Japhta holds a Bachelor of Science Honours degree with a focus on development economics from the University of Cape Town and a Masters in Business Administration (Cum Laude) from Stellenbosch University.
